Adult Education Center Lendava (Ljudska univerza Lendava) is a public local organization in Slovenia, established by the Lendava municipality to promote and develop adult education. AEC Lendava was establish in 1959 and from this year on we guarantee the formal and non-formal education for adults among Administrative unit Lendava and beyond.

We have a wide range of experiences and long praxis at organizing and implementing educational programs with formal and non-formal content.

In recent years, increasing attention has been given to various projects, that develop and encourage lifelong learning among different target groups, to raise the level of literacy, especially the socially week (elderly, rural residents, members of the Roma community, the unemployed, young without formal education etc.). Also the increasing attention was given to develop and educate the members of Roma community, in particular to develop the social and basic vocational skills and of course basic literacy among adult Roma in different Roma settlements across Pomurje region.
